Welcome to the San Antonio Chinese Culture Institute (SACCI) website.  We are a nonprofit Chinese language school located in San Antonio, Texas.

We offer Mandarin Chinese language and culture classes on Sunday afternoons to members of the community aged 4 and up.

The SACCI follows a curriculum developed by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of China in Taiwan. Our teachers are all native speakers with solid teaching experience.  Our students learn to speak Mandarin Chinese as well as to read and write traditional Chinese characters.

We welcome students of all learning levels and Chinese language capabilities.  Please feel free to contact us directly for information on how we may be able to help you, your family, or your organization.

about the image - 古代私塾

The image at the upper left corner of this page is of a Si Shu (私塾) or Classroom, in Ancient China.

Click here to view Chinese language video of a well-known Chinese children’s story (車胤囊螢照讀) about Che Yin, a poor peasant boy who collected fireflies in order to read at night and who ultimately became a beloved government official.  Moral of the story:  Even when circumstances are difficult, one should persevere to learn.

At SACCI's weekend Chinese school in San Antonio, students learn to speak Mandarin as well as read and write traditional Chinese and acquire knowledge about Chinese culture through reading stories like this one.
